If you were injured in a car crash as a passenger, you can claim compensation for your injuries and damages from both drivers involved in the accident. However, although both parties may be liable for your damages, you may not always be able to recover the entire amount of damages from each driver. In some states, you may only recover damages from each party in the amount the party was at fault for your injuries. Depending on the cause of the accident, you can also sue other parties such as car manufacturers, car owners and the government agency responsible for maintaining the road.
